I am running Windows 7 ultimate SP1 (64 bit) registered licensed and confirmed as being eligible for a windows 10 free upgrade and have had the pop up inviting me to do so before now but was not ready at the time to go any further. I have automatic updates on and always apply all updates so am pretty sure I must be up to date with W7.

I want to check Windows 10 compatibility before upgrading. Searches have suggested I use the 'Get windows 10 app' on the taskbar/system traybut it does not appear. I have tried downloading this app (GW10Appdiagnostic.diagcab) but when it runs it says "The Get Windows 10 App is not available for this version on Windows"

I don't understand why it would not be available and then again how do I check compatibility without it?
